Quartigod son of Ramesses III by Tyti. Third pharaoh of the 20th Dynasty (r. 1155-1149 BCE). Born c. 1190 BCE during the reign of Seti II — alive at 1172 BCE as a young prince in his late teens, before becoming crown prince in 1164 BCE. Survived the 1155 BCE harem conspiracy that killed his father; succeeded as planned. Six-year reign focused on monumental construction and Wadi Hammamat expeditions. Buried in KV2.
