Aeacus

Greek · demigod · heroic age · demigod

Half-Olympian son of Zeus by Europa per the Diodoran minority variant adopted under the registry's strict no-nymph-parent rule. (Dominant tradition has him by the river-nymph Aegina; that path is disallowed by the registry.) Eponymous king of Aegina; wartime fame in the rain-prayer that ended the pan-Hellenic drought; reputation for justice so manifest in life that he became one of the three judges of the dead after death, alongside Minos and Rhadamanthus — half-brothers under the Diodoran variant. Father of Telamon by Endeis, but the Aeacid line through Peleus is not registered: Endeis is Chiron's daughter, and Chiron's parentage (Titan father, Oceanid mother) violates the strict rule. The Telamon line through Ajax remains registry-eligible if Telamon's consort Eriboea is taken as mortal per the dominant tradition.
