Tros
Greek · quartigod · pre trojan war · quartigod
Demigod by descent — king of the Troad and eponym of Troy and the Trojans, son of Erichthonius. Married Callirhoe daughter of Scamander; father of Ilus (founder of Ilion and ancestor of Priam), Assaracus (ancestor of Aeneas), and Ganymede. When Zeus snatched Ganymede away, Tros was consoled with a gift of immortal horses — the divine stock later withheld by Laomedon from Heracles.
