Quartigod son of Yoshiie; Minamoto clan head after Yoshiie's death in 1106. Killed in 1109 in clan-internal conflict by his uncle Yoshitsuna — the proximate cause of the Minamoto-clan internal disintegration that the Hōgen Rebellion of 1156 would tragically continue. Father of Tameyoshi.
