Visayan · deity · Visayan traditional religion; continuing · deity

Libulan is the copper-bodied and timid child among the four offspring of the wind and the sea. Swept along in his brothers' revolt against the sky rather than leading it, he is destroyed by Kaptan's bolts, and his soft body becomes the moon. His name is the Bisaya word bulan, 'moon.'
