Lihangin is the personified wind, son of the sky god Kaptan. He takes to wife Lidagat, the calm sea and daughter of Magwayen, and from their union come four children who will become the earth, the sun, the moon and the stars. When the eldest child leads his brothers in rebellion and Kaptan destroys them, Lihangin and Lidagat die of grief, so that neither wind nor sea long survives the children they made. His name is transparent Bisaya, hangin, 'wind.'
