Cassandra

Greek · scion · trojan war · scion

Scion — daughter of Priam and Hecuba, the prophetess fated to speak truth and never be believed (Apollo's gift-and-curse). She foresaw the fall of Troy and the doom of the wooden horse in vain; at the sack she was torn from Athena's image and violated by Ajax the Lesser, and was finally killed beside Agamemnon — her captor — by Clytemnestra at Mycenae. The archetype of the unheeded seer.
