Quartigod daughter of Helen and Menelaus; the only child of Helen attested in Homer (Iliad and Odyssey both name her). The most-attested of all Helen's children. Nine years old when Helen left for Troy. Promised to both Neoptolemus and Orestes by competing arrangements during the war; the marriage to Neoptolemus is dominant in the Odyssey, but the post-Homeric tradition (especially Euripides Andromache) has her bitterly displaced by the captive Andromache and ultimately married to Orestes after Neoptolemus's death at Delphi. Mother of Tisamenus, the last Atreid before the Heraclidae return reordered the Peloponnese.
