Ugayafukiaezu
Japanese · deity · kamiyo · deity
The last kami before the first emperor, and his whole character is a name about an unfinished roof. He is the join in the chain — the point where the age of the gods ends and the imperial chronology starts — which makes him structurally the most important figure in this block and narratively the least developed. The registry had the generations on either side of him and not him.
